Alan Farley Photography app for iPhone and iPad

From the makers of Food Shopping Essentials! and Wedding Essentials! comes the latest ilmac iPhone app called Alan Farley Photography.

The Alan Farley Photography app is a great app for contacting and finding information from the Overton-on-Dee based Alan Farley.

Alan Farley interest in landscape photography evolved from hill walking in North Wales, The Lake District and Scotland. Alan wanted to capture the glory of the scenery he experienced!

Whilst not eschewing digital photography, the majority of his photographs are taken with a medium format film camera using transparency film. Perhaps an anachronism in this digital age, the use of a medium format camera suits his style of photography. Alan find his compositions are more considered using a film camera than a digital camera.

The intention behind his images is to recreate the scene as he experienced it at the time the image was taken. The honesty and integrity of an image is paramount which means a well-exposed transparency requires little or no alteration.

Alan uses neutral density graduated filters to hold back the sky during the exposure but he does not remove objects in the frame nor does he add more dramatic skies for visual effect.

The transparencies are scanned and printed digitally by a professional lab on either FujAlan Professional DP11 or FujAlan Crystal Archive paper, which due to their archival properties reduces the risk of fading. These papers are widely regarded as the industry standard for fine art printing, exhibiting outstanding sharpness and excellent colour rendition.
